Victorian Bushfires – February 2009

Rotary clubs across Victoria, and indeed from other parts of Australia and many countries around the world, have contributed funds and assistance following the devastating bushfires that commenced in early February and still continue.

The five Victorian Rotary districts have set up the Rotary Victoria Disaster Response Committee to co-ordinate the distribution of funds donated through Rotary.

Club Immediate President David Brunt and wife Helen were on the front line assisting at country relief centres for three weeks immediately after the fires.  For more specific information on the Rotary response, go to the “Weekly Bulletin” page, via the navigation link on the left hand side of this page, to read recent club bulletins
