ROTARY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS AVAILABLE
These
are some of the programs available in this district. There are many
other programs available. For more information enquire from Rotary
Information Chairman.
Ambassadorial Scholarships
GRADUATE TYPE.
Males and Females for 12 months' post-graduate study overseas.
Available each year. Applications required by March.
UNDERGRADUATE TYPE. Males and Females for 12 months' undergraduate
study overseas.
Rotary Australia World Community Service
(RAWCS)
Coordinates World
Community Service activities across several Districts.
Rotary Foundation Group Study Exchange
Provides for the
exchange of groups of 5 young business and professional people between
paired districts for periods of 6 weeks to 2 months. This year the
partnering District is New Jersey, USA.
Peace Scholarships
Rotary Centres for
International Studies are located at seven universities around the
world and seventy Scholarships are offered for a two year graduate
program in Peace Studies.
ROTARY YOUTH PROGRAMS AVAILABLE
These are some of the programs available in this

Rotary
Youth Exchange Students
Exchanges of male
or female Secondary School Students, Normal age 17 years, period 12
months. Arranged between any two consenting clubs.
R.Y.L.A. - Rotary Youth Leadership Award
Available to males
and females 19-25 years. Each Rotary Club may sponsor two a year.
R.Y.P.E.N. - Rotary Youth Programme of
Enrichment
For boys and
girls, 14-16 years of average ability, who are not likely to obtain
entry as an exchange student, or be a R.Y.L.A. participant. Assists
them to obtain high personal and moral values. A weekend seminar.
MUNA Model United Nations Assembly
For High School
students. Simulates the workings of the United Nations Assembly, by
having teams of two or three students represent a particular UN country
in debates on matters of world political and social concern.
INTERACT
Can be community
based or attached to the local High School. The purpose is to provide
opportunities for young people to work together in service to the
community while gaining skills in leadership and development.
ROTARACT
For young people
from 18 to 30 to develop friendships and professional contacts while
working for the benefit of local and/or international communities and
developing their professional skills and leadership development.

A program to eradicate Polio by 2005.

Spectacles
Recycling Project
A program to recycle spectacles (glasses) as a contribution to RAWCS
Australia
Australian Rotary Health Research Fund
Provides financial support to health research projects within Australia.
Local Community
Bowelscan
A program to detect Bowel cancer.
Local Community
Pride of Workmanship Award Scheme
A program to encourage people in all occupations to take pride in the
quality of their work, and make personal commitment to doing their job
to a high standard of performance.
