RYPEN is a camp for students in years 9 and 10 or between 14 and 15 years of age. The camp is designed to assist
students in their personal development. It exposes students to a series of ideas, problem
solving exercises and experiences to help them form value systems, moral
standards, and to broaden their horizons culturally, socially and academically while they have a whole heap of fun.
RYPEN activities include:
- Team Building
- Problem Solving
- Confidence Building
- Bush Dance
|
- Skits
- Reflection
- Guest Speakers
- Friendships
|
Students are sponsored to attend the RYPEN camps by their local rotary clubs.
Camps generally commence at Friday lunch time, with transport to the camp site provided by members of the
local rotary club. They finish on the Sunday with a lunch where parents are also invited. Life long friendships have been formed
on these camps between students who did not know anyone else when they arrived.
