KNIT-IN- a community program organised by Chris Behl whereby Rotarians and people from the community spent the afternoon knitting and sewing together squares for the wrap with love program. A happy, friendly and productive afternoon. Note the two Davids 'sewing'!!! Nice to see them - and Roger, Ian, Geoff and Frank too.
Follow-up
Just a note to say an enormous thank you for your efforts before/at/since our recent knit-in. We were able to donate a total of 15 rugs plus around another 40 squares to this programme. We also received a large amount of donated wool and that, plus a donation of $50.00 for wool purchases, was also made to the Lower Mountains Neighbourhood Centre, the local drop off point for this programme, located next to Blaxland Library. If you would like to keep knitting but need some wool you can call in and collect wool from the centre. Keep in mind that this programme runs all year and that you can drop squares in at any time.
I am sure that Wrap With Love rugs will be sent to Pakistan to help to comfort those poor people so devastated in the recent flooding.
Such a simple programme making a huge impact in the world.
Norman the Knitting Gnome and I (Chris) thank you very much, |
