What We Do | Projects | 4 way test of the things we do
The club meets every Tuesday night at Emu Plains Sporting Club (visitors are always welcome) 6.30 for 7pm.
This is a dinner club and club business takes place before, during and after dinner, with directors reports, requests for assistance for projects and tales of actitivities.
The Sargent's session raises funds by 'dobbing in' other members (in the nicest possible way) for alleged wrong doing - often - for example - 'fining' our reisdent policeman for newspaper article quotes relating to the NSW Police that have nothing whatsoever to do with him!
The latter part of the evening is generally taken over by a speaker. Talks are always interesting and informative. The diary (visit program and spoke) tells us which speakers are booked already. On the odd occasion a speaker is unable to attend, a club member will take over, talking abut their interests etc.
We debate other clubs, go on factory visits, eat at different restaurants etc - and that's just on Tuesdays. Other club social events take place at weekends and the fund raising we do, whether by selling sausages, building walls, or anything else, is always good fun.
Lower Blue Mountains Rotary Club is fun to belong to, helps the community in many ways and enjoys doing so. Rotary 'does' for the community.
Please, visit us and see what belonging to Rotary can do for you.
