The Jumbo flight for handicapped and underprivileged children is a joint venture between the Rotary club of Turramurra and QANTAS Pathfinders Auxiliary. Since 1973 the flight has provided almost 10,000 children with the opportunity to experience the thrill of flying in a Jumbo 747.

To see the excitement on the faces of children, some intellectually disabled, some in wheelchairs, some from backgrounds where holidays are impossible and some with vision and hearing impairment is reward enough for the hard work that goes into the charity flight. Each year entertainment is provided for the children and this year we plan to have Father Christmas, Ronald McDonald and some of the Swans footballers.
QANTAS,
the Federal Airports Corporation,
Airservices Australia and
Ampol

have provided financial and ground assistance for the flight each year. Their donations allow us to keep the cost of the flight to a minimum, ensuring that all children are nominated each year get to fly.

Each year the Sydney Swans AFL Football Club management and players have been very generous with their support.
This year's flight will take place on a Saturday in October
As in previous years the flight will be of one - hour duration encompassing
inland and coastal areas of New South Wales.

The Rotary Club of Turramurra seeks donations from the general public in the form of a sponsored seat.
In the event of excess funds being generated these funds are then distributed between organisations that assist disabled children in New South Wales.
While many organisations are regular participants, Turramurra Rotary try to broaden the participant base each year by calling on new charities to nominate their organisation for consideration.

Persons wishing to sponsor a child can do so by sending a cheque to:
