September 28 1998, at the Hotel De La Ville,Monza,Italy,the Rotary Club of Monza Ovest and The Rotary Club of Epping, launched an International Friendship Exchange.

Demonstrating a commitment to the Fourth Object of Rotary and in the presence of the Console Generale D'Australia in Italia, Rod Moorehouse and Rotary International Director 1998/2000 Dr Carlo Monticelli, a direct cultural and fellowship partnership was established to increase international understanding and awareness of both Italy and Australia within our communities.

Rotary Ambassadors,Past Presidents John Hayes and Ray Hosking together with Wendy Hayes and Annette Hosking represented the Rotary Club of Epping on this Notable occasion.

As this unique Friendship Exchange expands in the years to come,the development of Joint International Service Projects,Family Exchange Visits,Home Hosting and perhaps Student Exchange Programs is envisaged.

Past President Filiberto Vago and Past Secretary Guido Nori of the Rotary Club of Monza Ovest have confirmed their commitment as follows :

" We have all been really impressed with your idea of collaboration and we will do our utmost to continue our partnership."
