PROJECTS
Prostate and Breast Cancer support
The Street Party at the Wanda Beach Shopping Strip at Salamander Bay has become

Shop owners provide their specialty foods at discounted prices with part of the
profits going to this worthy cause and our rotary club provides a sausage sizzle.

eggs and chickens to others. This provided financial support to the village to send their children
to school. The project has become much larger with the recent provision of clean water for the
village and several other neighbouring villages. The project is now focussing on health care to
improve cancer and aids awareness, testing for bladder infections and women's health and
repairs to the school.
Oktoberfest night
Octoberfest is becoming another annual event, as it proved to be as successful as 2006 and a
lot of fun. The event was held at the Soldiers Point Bowling Club where we were entertained
by the band "Shandila". Even those not dancing became involved in the fun on the floor as
volunteers participated in additional activities.
