Stuart Peake Memorial Cancer Research Trust
The Stuart Peake Memorial Cancer Research Trust was set up as a memorial to the late Stuart Peake in 2002.
The idea of the trust is to generate a steady stream of money to fund cancer research in Australia. Funds, raised from donations, are invested with the returns being used to provide steady funding for cancer research. This will help to ease the main problem concerning funding for research: it is impossible to properly plan research when the funding may dry up at any time.
The Trust's Committee members include some of Stuart's family and members of some of the organisations in which Stuart held office at some time, including The P.A. & H. Rugby Club, and The Rotary Club of Barraba Inc..
