Richardson House
Richardson House is an aged hostel which was first opened in 1983. It is overseen by a committee operating under the aegis of the Barraba Shire Council. Rotary took part in the fund raising necessary to build the hostel, and since Richardson House cost over $200,000 (apart from Government subsidies), it is safe to say that Rotary's involvement was necessary for the completion of the project.
The average age of the 15 residents is about 88 years of age.
Rotary's involvement is on-going; each year the Club takes part in Richardson House's annual fête.
