The structure of Rotary Clubs is basically the same throughout
the world. Each Club has a Board of Directors, which consists
of the following officers:
- President
- Vice-President
- President-Elect (next year's President)
As well, the officers listed below can be members of the Board as
the club by-laws permit:
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Immediate Past President (last year's President)
- Sergeant-At-Arms
All of the above officers, with the exception of the Sergeant-At-Arms,
are elected by the club's members. (The Sergeant-At-Arms is elected by
the Board.) With the Board's approval, the President appoints the following,
core, standing committees:
- Club Service
- Community Service
- International Service
- Vocational Service
and such other committees as the President and Board agree upon.
Whatever committees may exist, the President is always ex officio
a member of those committees.
