Friendship Tours

Greetings from Louise
and myself. We hope you are both well.
Rotary Friendship tour to China:
A number of our
Rotary friends have expressed a desire to join us on a Rotary
International Friendship tour to China. Louise and I have decided to
arrange and lead an international group of Rotarians to China in
September/October 2009 on a 17/18 day tour with an optional 3 night
package to Tibet.
The tour will include
highlights such as a three night Three Gorges Yangtze River Cruise,
Li River cruise, Xi'an, Giant Panda Breeding Research Centre, Temple
of Heaven, Terra Cotta Warriors, the Great Wall, Beijing's Tiananmen
Square & the Forbidden City, Children's Palace & Shanghai acrobats,
Lantau Island & Pearl Market in Hong Kong and much more. Rotary
meetings will be arranged in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong with
English speaking clubs. Please let me know if you would be
interested in joining us. A detailed itinerary with price will be
sent out once this is available.
africa Rotary Friendship Tour to South Africa
Bookings for our
Friendship tour to South Africa in October/November 2008 have very
been slow compared to last year. This is a pity as it is an exciting
tour covering new ground. It is also becoming better priced daily as
our South African Rand continues to decline against all the major
currencies. Please pass on information about this tour to any
Rotarian friends you think may be interested in joining us. Most of
those joining joining the tours are as a result of referrals by
previous participants. Let me know if you would like the itinerary
for Rotary 32 to be re-sent to you or give me the name and address
of anyone you think may be interested.
These tours are a
project of the Knysna Rotary Club and profits generated are used
for matching RI Grants with overseas clubs. This funding greatly
assists the numerous educational, medical and social needs of our
underpriviledged community. Any assistance you are able to give us
in advertising these tours would be much appreciated.
