Consider organizing a train the trainer seminar for everyone involved with delivery of training. This is a great opportunity to share best practices with a beginning trainer, or an opportunity to refresh skills and increase the level of consistency among the training team. For more information, go to chapter 3 of the District Training Manual and use the Train the Trainer session guide to customize your Train the Trainer seminar. A sample, one-day agenda, session outline, and handouts are included in the chapter. For each topic, choose discussion questions and suggested activities that best meet the needs of your participants.

The following activity is fun and stresses the importance of effective communication. Ask participants to find a partner. Give one person a picture and have that person describe the picture to their partner without letting them see the picture. Their partner must then draw the picture as described. As a follow up, ask the group to discuss what they learned during the activity and how it can apply to the training subject.
