MESSAGE FROM KIM AT THE SCHOOL OF ST JUDE   22 APRIL 2008

Kim here as Gemma is a bit busy – on this rare occasion she has put any thoughts of St Jude’s aside (well, I hope she has … but probably not!) and is enjoying sharing the first moments of her new baby girl, Isabella Sue! Richard, proud Dad, and brothers, Nathaniel and Jacob, are equally as excited … but concerned where she is going to fit in the big double bed on Sunday mornings. If she is anything like her mother, she will have that sorted out within a week of getting home …

I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from Gemma but I’m sure you will forgive her – opening a new campus with 550 students, along with the original one with 440 students, as well as boarding facilities for over 450 children in Std 4 and up, and settling in over 100 new academic and non academic staff has kept us rather busy! However, thanks to the extremely hard working team here on the ground at St Jude’s we can proudly say that this year we have two schools running as smoothly as one did last year. It is an extraordinary achievement by over 300 staff members.
