Greetings for 2007  -  lets pray for a year that brings steps to peace  in the world and a  focus on those who  live without even the basics.      You know everyday I see living  conditions that we in the west would find totally unacceptable and I feel so sad  that people have to live like this.     No wonder there is so much disease.  

 You might have noticed the global updates have stopped coming….. not sure why as yet but until we sort the problem  the information on the current situation is available on

for those of you who have not looked at this site has a wealth of information on polio and the initiative.    We are at an interesting time in polio eradication…..4 countries have yet to interrupt circulation and funding is becoming a problem….the new Director- General of the WHO has called a top level meeting on the program next month….as below

We in Pakistan are sitting on 39 cases up 11 from  last year,  but still the analysis of December specimens is going on.
