  Past President Mark Kent presents cheque for $1000 to Captain
Russell Grice of the Salvation Army Gold Coast Recovery Services
 - Fairhaven. The presentation  took place at the meeting of the
Club held on 14 August with Karyn Joyner, President,  presiding.
This donation finalised gifts by the Club for 2006/2007.
     
  Edson Cearense Segundo of Central Parque  - Sorocaba - Sao Paulo
- Brazil
will commence his studies as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar
at Bond University  in January. President Karyn Joyner and Craig Tobler
will be his Counsellors.

Warren  presented a PowerPoint of plans for the establishment of a quality water supply for four of the Tongan Islands. This project is being supported by Rotarians in Australia and New Zealand with assistance from the Rotary Foundation.Parkwood Rotary contributed $1,000 in the current year.
