Rotary Global History Fellowship (RGHF)
OUR ROTARY FOUNDATION NEWSLETTER (#62) May 15, 2008 http://www.rotaryfirst100.org/foundation/newsletter/2008/0515.pdf
The lead story in this issue is: Rotarian Action Groups (RAGs).
There is a major gap in the world between good intentions and execution (making it happen!). Why? Most do-good organizations in the world do not have partners on the ground positioned to help them attain their goals.
Rotarians are uniquely positioned and very qualified to bridge this gap.
Rotarians are integrated in their communities with an understanding of their local cultures and sensitivity to community values. They are attuned to political considerations and can pinpoint problems before they become major hurdles to success.
There is a key word in Rotarian Action Groups and yes, it’s action.
Turning ideas into action is one of the things Rotarians do best and
through RAGs - http://www.rotaryfirst100.org/foundation/newsletter/2008/0515.pdf
