Revolving Loan Funds -  RICommunity Service eNewsletter - November/December 2005 Also known as “village banking”, “micro-enterprise”, or “micro-credit”, revolving loan funds provide small loans to people who want to start or improve businesses but who have no credit history or access to commercial bank loans.  The ultimate goal is for these entrepreneurs to become financially independent and eligible for loans from commercial banks.  Revolving loan funds are an excellent way for Rotary clubs and districts to encourage development and growth among the most vulnerable people in their communities and can be designed to fit the needs of virtually any community.
