Human Rights Day  - 10 December
Human Rights Day commemorates the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. For the past 54 years, this declaration has been the basis for what we today regard as our human rights. The declaration has been translated into more than 300 languages, making it the most translated document in the world. Each year at this time we remember all those who are working at the local, national, regional, and international levels for human rights. - see also International Day of Disabled Persons 3 December
