Yes! This important all-day Rotary Community Service event will be staged at Bond’s ‘Cerum’ Lecture Theatre, capable of accommodating the expected 500 attendees.

The major aim of the forum is to clear up the myths of mental illness and to de-stigmatize mental illness.  Rotary will get some real exposure: expect TV and Press to be there!

The event will address Depression, Eating Disorders, Bi Polar Disorder and Schizophrenia.  Several high level speakers have already accepted our invitation, but also carers and patients will speak.  Questions and discussion from the floor will be encouraged.

To cover the event’s costs, a contribution from the Australian Rotary Health Research Fund, should be complemented by contributions from the local Clubs.  If all the 22 clubs which are located between Coomera and Tweed Heads are chipping in a few dollars, we won’t have a problem.  Already, Broadbeach ($300), Runaway Bay ($300) and Surfers Sunrise ($500) have sponsored the event.  For more information, contact Franz Huber, ARHRF Committee, on Mobile (0414) 970 666

PS
And we have just received a cheque for $500.00 from the RC of Southport. Thank you, fellows! Franz Huber.
