"I want to thank you and all of the members of the Parkwood club for having me on Tuesday night. It really was a lovely evening and what struck me about it was the kindness and warmth that everyone treated me with. Indeed since my very first association with Rotary, the selfless service, the warm smiles and Rotary hugs and the generosity of each and every Rotarian has amazed me. Rotary truly is a remarkable organisation which epitomises the strength and spirit of humankind.
Thank you all for this incredible opportunity and although my adventure has not yet begun I know that it certainly will be an experience whose attributes are beyond words. My promise to all of you is to make the most of my time in France and hopefully begin to repay and spread some of the kindness that Rotary has displayed to me." see also Youth Exchange 2003
