THE ROTARY CLUB OF BROADWATER SOUTHPORT
presents
16TH GOLD COAST CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL - CIRCUS QUIRKUS

Wednesday 18 June 2008

Location: Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre

The Rotary Club of Broadwater Southport will be hosting the highly acclaimed Circus Quirkus
at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on 18 June.
Circus Quirkus a non animal circus spectacular is a unique showcase of some of the
finest performers from all around the world. It has been designed to amuse, astound
and delight the crowd with acrobatics, juggling, death defying stunts and the
heart warming humour of the clowns.

The show has delighted and enthralled audiences each year and the Club feels extremely
fortunate to offer it to 3500 of the Gold Coast's most disadvantaged and disabled children
from over 60 local charities/organisations.

Over 15 years, the Festival has raised over $500,000 for many worthwhile causes on
the Gold Coast and put smiles on the faces of thousands of special needs and
disadvantaged children. This event is such a welcome change for them as they have
to deal with illness, physical disability, emotional trauma and severe financial
difficulties on a daily basis. Thanks for lifting their spirits and bringing them well
needed joy and laughter.

Funds raised from this year's show will help a number of local Rotary Projects including:

The Abused Child Trust and

Gold Coast Project for Homeless Youth Inc.

The cost of each ticket is $50 and the Club would be grateful for support of
a group of children with one of the following amounts:

20 children $1000   10 children  $500  5 children 250  2 children $100

Business cards will be placed on the back of each ticket. A Certificate will be
awarded to helpers of two children or more and major sponsors of ten children
will be individually acknowledged on screen at the Centre. Gold sponsors of
twenty children may display banners at the theatre.

Rotarian Mark Brooke, Project Chairman, has acknowledged the generous support of local
businesses towards the cost of staging of CIRCUS QUIRKUS and advises that further
contributions would be greatly appreciated. Mark may be contacted by tel/fax to 55207568
or by mail to P O Box 1196, Southport Qld 4215.

Please help to make this the most successful Gold Coast Children's Festival ever, by
enabling all of our local special needs children to participate.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ROTARY CLUB OF BROADWATER SOUTHPORT IN MAKING
A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO THE LIVES OF THESE CHILDREN AND AT THE SAME TIME
SUPPORTING THE ABUSED CHILD TRUST AND GOLD COAST PROJECT
FOR HOMELESS YOUTH INC.
