OUR FOUNDATION NEWSLETTER (#68)

Dear Rotary Colleagues:

AN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP/FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

NO ORGANIZATION DOES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS BETTER THAN ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

If you must choose only one thing that will have the biggest impact in making this a better world, choose education.  This October issue of OUR FOUNDATION celebrates Rotary’s Ambassadorial, Peace and Cultural Scholarships/Fellowships, the Grants for University Teachers and Group Study Exchange programs.  All of these educational programs are possible through the generosity of Rotarians contributing to the Annual Programs Fund and personal endowments.

Many Rotary scholarship recipients have accomplished great things and have helped to make our world a better place.  Read on pages 2 - 3 that Rotary International President-Nominee-designate Ray Klinginsmith is the first Foundation alumnus to come full circle from Amb assadorial Scholar, through Rotary, to RI President.  Ray Klinginsmith of the Rotary Club of Kirksville, Missouri, USA, is the selection of the Nominating Committee for President of Rotary International in 2010-11 and will become the president-nominee on 1 October if there are no challenging candidates.

Please pass this FOUNDATION NEWSLETTER onward to your clubs and districts.

Very truly yours,
Eddie
