The Rotary Club of Parkwood  hosted the Inaugural Bald and Beautiful Day at Southport Sharks on

  Wednesday 5th  May 2010 from 10am to 4pm. 
 

The whole idea was to pamper adults who have cancer or are in remission - to make them feel special. 
 We provide a day of fun, pampering and wellbeing, with no mention of sickness

 
 

The day included manicures, pedicures, make-up, hair-do’s, music, entertainment, Tai Chi, dancing and so much more.

There were also  lucky door prizes, raffles and free gifts. 
 

The day was  open to all cancer patients, past and present, and their carers and  everyone left with a smile 

A healthy lunch and morning tea was also provided. 
 
 

The success of the day is a tribute to the hard work of Past President Mark Kent and his wife, Jan, together with
members of his committee and the volunteers who assisted during the day.
The club acknowledges with appreciation the contribution of $1000 by the Rotary Club of Ballina towards the costs of the day.
