DISTRICT 9640

The Club has been well represented at each District Conference held since its Charter. In addition members of the Club have regularly made themselves available to serve on District Committees. In 1997/8 the Club was represented on the Polio Plus, Youth Exchange Program, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, and South Pacific Matched Student Exchange Committees. Past District Governor Ken Smith acted as an Ambassadorial Counsellor.

In 1998/9 the Club Members served on the Probus, Vocational Service, Interact, New Generations, RYLA, South Pacific Matched Exchange, Model United Nations Assembly and
other District committees.

ROTARY INTERNATIONAL
The Club is fortunate to have in its membership two past District Governors - Brian Knowles and Ken Smith. Brian and Ken have attended many International Conventions and Conferences of Rotary International. Brian as a past Treasurer of Rotary International and representative on various RI committees, travels overseas on a regular basis on Rotary business. As a result Brian and Ken have kept the Club informed of Rotary activities worldwide.

Past Rotary International Director/Treasurer and member of Parkwood Rotary Club, Brian Knowles,was honoured with the announcement on Australia Day 2000 of  the award to him of an AM (Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia).
