Welcome to the Rotary club of Lismore web page. The Rotary club of Lismore is the oldest club in Rotary District 9640 - being chartered in 1932. As such we are 'parent' to 7 clubs throughout the Northern Rivers Area. Over the last 76 years the club has done much to assist with the growth of Lismore. Examples include establishing the Rotary Rainforest Park, development of the Lismore airport and Lake Ainsworth fitness camp. Exisiting projects include the establishment of a Rainforest Garden. One of our most exciting events is Opera at the Channon. Scheduled in 2008 for the 27th July, this outdoor event showcases young singers from the Queensland Opera. The Northern Rivers is a great place to visit so while you are here, why not do a make-up at our club this Monday evening? |

This club is one of the five Rotary Clubs serving Lismore and its surrounding area. The Rotary Club of Lismore concentrates on the central business district and South Lismore. It runs most of its Youth Programs with students from Richmond River High, Trinity college and associated Primary School. The club was founded in 1931 and chartered in 1932 with 35 members. It was the first club on the North Coast and sponsored the Rotary clubs of Grafton, Murwillumbimby, Ballina, Lismore West, Casino, Alstonville, Kyogle and the Rotaract Club of Lismore.
