Rotary Insights

The District Governor's visit for 2008-09 came early in the rotary year. DG Wayne Morris met with President Dorothy and the members of the Board before the regular meeting. The top picture shows the members of the head table at our meeting.

A large number of club members braved the cold night air to wait until after midnight for our Danish exchange student Thomas Sorrensen to arrive at Brisbane International Airport. The group was very enthusiastic and entertained each other while we waited for him to appear.

When Thomas appreared he had a very bright smile and waved at us all. He travelled very well and has now settled in with his host parents Doug & Preeta Harper. Thomas attends St Paul's School at Bald Hills and has already learned about schooluniforms and has selected his subjects to study.

We wish Thomas a very enjoyable stay in Australia with us.
