First held at Yeppoon on the Capricorn Coast in 1997, the Capricorn Coast Art Festival has continued to grow and attract major sponsors. As it enters its 12th year it is one of the most significant art festivals in regional Queensland and has national recognition. This year's judge is Ms Maureen Hansen, with the competition prize money totalling $20,000 across 13 categories.

In the year 2000, the Club commissioned Mr. Maurice Lempire a sculptor from Clermont who using skills learned from European master craftsmen created the "Spirit Stone" as a Federation Gift from Rotary to the people of Livingstone Shire.
