This year instead of having one person organise the guest speakers, all members will be asked to be responsible and allocated a Monday evening or two. You are welcome to choose what you would like to do, for example you may wish to do your life history, organize someone to come along and talk, organize an evening outside of the Goolwa Hotel or do a song and dance its up to you….

Even if you have done your life history before we do have new members who may not have heard your story. Maybe you would like to join up with another member who has also done their life history and do a short life history of yourselves together. Or you could talk about your business and changes that may have occurred. The choices are endless just use your imagination or consider some of the suggestions below.

The 2008 2009 program indicates Rotary’s theme for each month at the top of the table.  This can be used as a theme for a presentation by yourself or another appropriate person.

If you do get stuck for an idea Malcolm Milne is including some suggestions via the links below.  The links will be updated as ideas and/or offers come forward.

Do try to be creative though, it would be a pity to have 30 odd life histories.  Be mindful of the non political and non sectarian policy of Rotary.  Topics of public concern and interest are of course appropriate subjects.  The policy is established to avoid the use of a Rotary forum for the active promotion of a particular political or religious belief.

Your name will be listed in the program schedule in accordance with the roster.  When you have made the arrangements, please forward details to Malcolm Milne so that the information can be substituted in the schedule.

To help ensure that the speaker is fully informed of the arrangements it is recommended that written confirmation be forwarded.  Refer suggested proforma that may assist with this. SpeakerConfirmationProforma08-09.doc
