The Rotary Club of Irymple is active in the Sunraysia Community and beyond
with a number of very exciting and challenging Projects.
- The Disability Rehabilitation Centre in Nepal
-
The Club is supporting a program of vocational rehabilitation at
the Disability Rehabilitation Centre Nawalparasi in Nepal.

The program includes the formation and development of self-help groups and the provision of small
business opportunities to disadvantaged citizens of the town.

- The Avenue of Trees
-
The Club has been active since 1996
on its Airport Avenue of Trees. It has planted and maintained the carob trees
and shrubs along the 1.5 km stretch of Walnut Avenue leading to the entrance of
the Mildura Airport.

There are 400 trees in the avenue. The Club has installed a drip watering
system and over 400 cubic metres of mulch. It has laid 2.4 kms of underground
irrigation pipe.

This coming year there are plans for a further 800 cubic metres of mulch and
extensive extension of the watering system
- The RAAF Memorial Gardens

The Club is participating in an
exciting and substantial project to erect a memorial near the RAAF Museum at the Mildura
Airport to commemorate the personnel killed in training in Mildura.

The project is a natural compliment to the Rotary Avenue of Trees.

- The Millewa Pioneer Forrest and Historical Village
-
The Millewa Community
Pioneer Forest and Historical Society conduct an Open Day at the Village
site each year as their major fundraising activity.

The Village is a multi
Award winning display "Where the Pioneers are not forgotten". The Rotary
Club have been long time supporters of the Open Day preparing the many
lunches sold and consumed on the day.

- The Mildura Rotary Art Show
-
The prestigious Mildura
Rotary Art Show returns in 2006 under the direction of the Rotary Club of
Irymple.

This highly successful show has been conducted in past years by
Merbein Rotary. The new look show will retain its traditional dates at
Easter.

- The 2005 MDBC International River Health Conference

n International Environmental Conference for young people. The
Conference will involve workshops, celebrities, politicians, teachers and
school children from across every Australian State and Territory and
from countries around the world

- Relay for Life Team
-
Relay For Life is an overnight team event to raise funds for cancer
research, education and patient support programs. A team from Irymple Rotary
will be participating in the Sunraysia event and a Monster Garage Sale will
be held to assist funds.
