About Our ClubThe Rotary Club of Irymple had its first meeting in June 1971. At that time it was referred to as the Rotary Club of Irymple-Mildura. It changed to its present name in 1975. Irymple is one of seven Rotary Clubs in the Sunraysia area of Rotary District 9520. It has a membership of 40 including 7 Honorary Members. The township of Irymple lies approximately 7 kilometers south of Mildura in the north-west of Victoria. Mildura is situated on the New South Wales border and is one of the fastest growing rural cities in Australia. Irymple is now a dormitory suburb of Mildura and is situated in an intensive horticultural area. The production and processing of grapes and citrus is the main industry. There are local factories and wineries that process these fruits into juice, dried fruit and wine. Our Club Banner depicts these and other locally grown produce. |
